WILMINGTON, NC – September 21, 2023 – Noted UX Designer/Developer Tony Shaw announced today the successful early completion of a three-month contract with GEHA (Government Employees Health Association, Inc.). Commissioned through TekSystems, Shaw was tasked with a pivotal role in modernizing and revitalizing the GEHA homepage.
In a demonstration of his adept expertise, Tony utilized ReactJS to ingeniously build each component of the homepage into Storybook, a game-changing approach that enabled GEHA stakeholders to interactively test and approve each element before it was finalized. This agile process ensured stakeholder buy-in and significantly reduced potential iterations.
After achieving stakeholder sign-off, Shaw seamlessly transitioned to implementing the components. Harnessing his deep knowledge of HTML, SCSS, and jQuery, he integrated innovative designs into the Sitecore CMS, an industry-leading platform. The entire project, initially slated for three months, was wrapped up a month ahead of schedule – a testament to Shaw’s efficiency and mastery in his field.
